THE GHOST AND THE HOUSE OF TRUTH
SYNOPSIS
The Ghost and the House of Truth tells the story of Bola Ogun (Susan Wokoma), a single mother to her daughter Nike. Bola is a counselor who works with family members of crime victims, and much of her work revolves around holding meetings between these family members and the convicts who committed the crime. However, the empathy that is central to her work becomes tested when Nike goes missing. What follows is an intense and at times tragic effort to work with local police to get Nike back. The Ghost and the House of Truth is not only a suspenseful crime drama, but an examination of how far someone’s empathy can go before it reaches a breaking point.
